One of the banes you have to deal with in the bathroom is hard water stains left after an otherwise enjoyable shower. They are flat and as hard to remove as stains go, mainly because they never get away. One shower later, they could very well be back and ready to annoy you once again. But you can deal with them in a variety of ways and getting rid of them is still a rather easy endeavour. And if you don’t know how, then here is what you do need to know:
#1 – The Preventative Method
The best way to deal with hard water stains is to not deal with them whatsoever. These stains appear because of water drops staying too long on the floor and walls. But if you put your mop to use right after splashing the water and wipe all the water drops, then you will not have to worry about any stains.
#2 – Use Vinegar
While a bit overreacting, using standard home cleaners such as vinegar is about as a good method as any to remove a hard water stain. The acidic properties will eat through the stain and leave you without any stain whatsoever. The shine will be better as well, and there will be a bit of disinfecting done as well.
#3 – Use the Proper Tools
Using the right tools for the job is also a good way to handle such stains. Make sure you have sponges and mops around and use them to scrub the stains. A microfiber cloth will also do wonders for such stains, and it does not even require any cleaners to use.
#4 – Use Lemon Juice
Another home cleaning solution you can use is lemon juice. Its citric acid will not only take care of the nasty stain, but it will also leave a fresh scent after it and the bathroom will be much more revitalised after you are done with the cleaning.
Use any or all of these methods and you will see how the hard water stains in your bathroom will never be a problem again – simply an occasional nuisance you have to spare a few minutes to deal with. Bathroom cleaning is simple when you know how to do it. Equipped with this stain removal knowledge, you are ready to tackle it!
